Meet The Owners

Edward has been a registered Landscape Architect for thirty years and currently has a private practice here in Carver. Maureen was medical secretary and office manager for twenty years and has spent the last ten years as a substitute teacher. Both Ed and Maureen have been active community volunteers since they arrived in Carver in 1979. One of their first projects was working on the establishment of the Lakenham Historic District in North Carver. Ed has served on the Historic District Commission and Maureen on the Historical Commission and the Carver Cultural Council. They were both involved with many school projects and youth activities throughout the years of raising their three sons. Ed helped build playgrounds and soccer fields and coached several teams. Maureen wrote grants for the schools, administered arts in education programs, coached Odyssey of the mind teams and taught religious education classes at Our Lady of Lourdes parish.
At present, Ed is a member of the Carver Planning Board, the Community Preservation Board and the Lakenham Green Preservation Committee. Maureen is chair of the Carver Cultural Council and a founding member of Carver’s Arts, Culture and Tourism committee where she is coordinating a grant from the Makepeace Company.
Ed and Maureen have been dedicated to the restoration of this historic home and the preservation of the early settlement around Lakenham Green. For thirty years they have committed their time, energy and resources to renovating, restoring and re-establishing this fine old house of historical and architectural significance in Carver. Their home has been featured on the Habitat for Humanity Christmas House Tour in 2005 and 2008.
